How to submit an in-store deal

Best for clearance finds, unadvertised specials, and local YMMV deals at KC stores.

  1. 1
Log in and open Submit a Deal

Free account required. Deals are reviewed before they go live.

  2. 2
    Add title, store, and price

Include the retailer (e.g. Walmart, Price Chopper) and location if it matters — “Lee's Summit” or a specific address helps.

  3. 3
    Upload an in-store proof photo

Snap the shelf label or clearance tag so the price is readable. JPG, PNG, or WebP, max 5 MB. GPS/location data is stripped from uploads.

  4. 4
Check “This is a local/in-store deal”

Helps KC shoppers filter for deals they can run out and grab today.

  5. 5
Confirm the photo attestation and submit

You must confirm you took the photo and it shows the actual in-store price. Approved deals may show an in-store badge.

How to use Weekly Ads

The Weekly Ads page links to current circulars for Kansas City grocery and retail stores. Official ads show what's advertised; community deals on CheapKC often catch unadvertised markdowns and YMMV clearance.

Tip: cross-check the weekly ad, then search CheapKC for the same store to see if someone already posted an in-store find.

Getting the most from deal alerts

After you create an account, open Deal Alerts to follow categories or stores you care about.

  • Start with a few categories (e.g. Grocery, Home) instead of everything.
  • Add stores you actually shop — local alerts are most useful when you'll act on them.
  • Alerts notify you when matching deals are approved; they are not a price-tracker for a single SKU yet.

Frequently asked questions

Submit a Deal (login required). Online deals can use a product URL to auto-fill details. In-store deals work best with a proof photo — see our in-store guide. All submissions are reviewed before publishing.

New deals go to a quick review queue. Common reasons for rejection: duplicate deal, missing or misleading price, broken link, service or business spam, or low-quality content. Logged-in users get an in-site notification when a deal is approved or rejected.

On each deal page you can mark whether the deal worked for you or if your mileage may vary (YMMV). Especially for in-store clearance, stock and price can differ by location — these votes help the community gauge reliability.

Online deals are usually shipped or available nationwide with a link to buy. Local / in-store deals are for Kansas City area shoppers who can visit a physical store. Use the deal type filters on the homepage to narrow results.

Use deal comments for deal-specific questions — “Still in stock at the Barry Road location?” Use the contact form for site issues, advertising, account problems, or anything not tied to one deal.

CheapKC may earn commissions from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. That does not change the price you pay. Community votes and submissions drive what gets featured — not commission rates.

No — deals, not pitches. That includes the Facebook trick where someone posts “Can anyone recommend…?” and friendly accounts pile on with promos. See Community Rules on comments and astroturfing.

Anything relevant to Kansas City shoppers — groceries (Price Chopper, Hy-Vee, Aldi, etc.), big-box, home improvement, restaurants, and online retailers that ship here. Browse the store directory or weekly ads. Community submissions expand coverage over time.
